Not much going on. The training has been in recovery mode the last 2 weeks, so not much to write home about (or blog home as it may be). I am reading a good book right now. This following a not so good book that I finished a week ago.
Anyway the new book is The Witness but Sandra Brown. I'm not finshed yet so don't give me the ending if you've read it before. It has very disturbing parts, so if you don't like to read about volience then I will add this disclaimer. As for the other book Harriers, it's interesting if you are a runner, outside of that it is not that good of a book. I'm going to be getting back on the training wagon shortly and I'm sure the track season should shape up to be interesting so I'll keep you posted. Enjoy the spring everyone.
Well let me expound apon my normal running updates by breaking from the norm and hitting some highlights. For starters I am currently reading "Stone Cold". It's the 3rd book in the series from David Baldacci and so far it's great I'm just over half done. The series started with the Camel Club. (My favorite book of all time, you will never see the ending coming) Then "The Collectors" and now "Stone Cold". Baldacci has been recently writing books carrying on character lines from book to book. The other series is "Split Second", "The Hour Game" and "Simple Genuis". For all you readers out there I would recommend any and ALL of these books. Start with the "Camel Club" if you can find it.
The Colts game got moved to a night game Sunday, which will make it hard for me to catch the whole game. The Colts are finishing out their 5th straight season with over 12 wins (over 12). Considering the injuries this season it is amazing that the Colts have managed to win so many games (and should have won in San Diego...Vinitari of all people missed a game winning feild goal). The Pats game was a hard one to swallow, after out playing to Pats for 55 minutes lost in the last 5. All I really want is to see Bob Sanders knock that smug look off a few Pats faces in beating them in the AFC Championship game. It is a shame in a way that the Colts and Pats won't face off in the Supeerbowl...that would be be the best. I guess I just cheering for Mini Peyton this weekend, even though there is no chance the Giants will actually win.
Best wishes for New Years everyone. There's only 4 New Years left til the end of the world. For those that don't know the world is ending on 12/21/2012. It's kind of an inside joke, the Mayans predicted the end of the world on that date. That is oddly enough the first time in 10,000 years that the Sun will be in the exact center of the milkyway and the same day that the earth will complete a full wobble on it's axsis (another 10,000 year occurance). So that date is not just a random day. If you've never read about the Mayans you should, they were an amazing people. the things they did are almost unbelievable. I'm not saying you should believe the world will end that day but's an interesting read (or watch you can catch a thing on it on the history channel from time to time.
Stay safe, stay warm, and please don't drink and drive (I've lost too many friends that way).
